As part of theCultural Olympiad of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Théâtre du Chatelet presents Laissez-nous danser, from September 6 to 8. The third and final show of the Olympiad at this historic Parisian theater, it promises to be a fitting finale to the collaboration between artists and athletes.
Laissez-nous danser brings together some 250 artists, including instrumentalists, choir members, dancers, circus performers and actors, mainly from the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Paris, at the magnificent Théâtre du Châtelet. The venue opens its doors to athletes who, alongside the artists, take to the stage for a popular show. The evening focuses on the challenges of inclusion, with the participation of a number of disabled artists. With Brazilian dancer Vitória Bueno as guest of honor, the free show focuses on the history and values of Olympism.
Vitória Bueno is a young Brazilian dancer known not only for her exceptional talent, but also for her incredible determination and resilience. Born without arms, Vitória defied expectations and overcame obstacles to become an acclaimed dancer. She gained international acclaim thanks to her participation in the Brazilian reality show "Domingão do Faustão". Her highly anticipated performance at the Théâtre du Chatelet in Laissez-nous danser, takes place on the closing day of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games .
As a reminder, theCultural Olympiad, launched for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, promotes interaction between art and sport. Beginning in 2021, this initiative offers rich and varied multidisciplinary programming, with artistic performances, exhibitions and cultural events across France. It celebrates Olympic values such as inclusion, excellence and diversity. Free and open to all, the Laissez-nous danser show at the Théâtre du Chatelet is part of the program.
