Le Nectar des Dieux returns to Funambule Montmartre afterthe great success of its first season at the end of 2023. Written by François Piel-Flamme, Hugo Klein and Lucas Gonzalez, the play explores the history of wine through the eyes of a number of key historical figures.
A new kind of comedy, Le Nectar des Dieux features two men telling us not only about the history of wine, but also about ourselves. The two actors, François Piel-Flamme and Hugo Klein, play a dozen characters, including Caesar, Dom Pérignon and Marie-Antoinette. The comedic duo present historical facts from over 10,000 years of history, with humor and light-heartedness. Their aim? To make you want to uncork a good bottle of wine and remake the world with them!
Le Funambule Montmatre is transformed into a wine cellar, as François Piel-Flamme and Hugo Klein toast their departed friend, in a production directed by Lucas Gonzalez. During the show, as the actors swallow their glasses, you'll be treated to a chronology of the history of wine, as well as a host of anecdotes .
Le Nectar des Dieux can be discovered at the Funambule Montmartre from July 10 to September 1, 2024 .
