Immerse yourself in the colorful, digital universe of artist Anne Horel, who is exhibiting her Créatures at galerie Julie Caredda from November 18 to December 23, 2023.

Artificial intelligences are gradually conquering our daily lives, and entering the world of art, cinema, literature... Is it a fad or a societal revolution? It's a little early to say. But the use of new technologies in art is not so recent. Anne Horel, a French digital artist, has been playing with the Internet, social networks and the digital world since the early 2000s.

The artist invites us to discover her astonishing universe, in a free exhibition presented at Galerie Julie Caredda, from November 18 to December 23, 2023. Come and admire Créatures, and plunge into Anne Horel's colorful, surprising and poetic world.

Digital art brings a wealth of options, freedoms and opportunities... But it also brings its own questions and risks. Anne Horel has played with these billions of choices, creating images, videos, collages... She has also lost precious works in the meanders of the Internet, when platforms closed their digital doors for good.

What future does this digital world hold for art? Are new works destined to disappear, or will today's culture still be visible in a few decades' time? Faced with these questions, Anne Horel turns to creatures born of mythology, spirituality and fortune-telling: she invents adorable little monsters, astonishing and fascinating figures, comforting or protective beings that symbolize the fears, dreams and hopes of the digital generation.

Human, animal, plant, or a little of all of these, these creations seem to be formed from thousands of elements found in the four corners of the web, and assembled together. This idea ofabundance, of chaos, is also found in the artist's collections, which denounce this "fast" society, where we consume ever more, ever faster.

An astonishing exhibition, a revolutionary artist, and a good deal not to be missed at the end of the year, at Galerie Julie Caredda.
