Directly opposite the René-Binet garden, not far from the Bertrand Dauvin sports center in the 18th arrondissement, Square Marcel Sembat is one of those neighborhood squares that are popular all year round, and where you can spend long hours sunbathing in summer.
Triangular in shape, Square Marcel Sembat bears the name of a lawyer and socialist politician, known for having served as deputy for the 18th arrondissement until his death. Created in 1931, the square was completely redeveloped in 2006. With its many trees, it's a particularly pleasant little neighborhood square, even more so on sunny days, when you can take your lunch break or go there after school.
On site, two basketball courts are freely accessible, with a small play area for children and a few benches. At the center of the square is one of the 119 Wallace fountains in Paris. Square Marcel Sembat is open every day, all year round, from 8 a.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. on weekends and public holidays. Closing times vary according to season and month. The paths are relatively flat and accessible for baby carriages and people with reduced mobility.
