If there’s one pastry that perfectly represents winter, it’s the Mont-Blanc. This famous and ultra-tasty French pastry is a major product in many top pastry shops. Angelina, Pouchkine and Michalak, it’s hard to resist to its chestnut cream vermicelli, its crispy meringue and its light whipped cream. Yes, Mont-Blanc is THE wintery treat! Unless…
If you find yourself in Rue du Roi de Sicile, within walking distance from She’s Cake by Sephora, we discover a shop window where Mont-Blanc is displayed for every season. We’re facing Le Mont du Bonheur, a tea salon dedicated to this famous pastry.
Here, they proudly strut like on a catwalk. Look, there’s one covered in pink for a strawberry and mascarpone flavor, the mango-passion one dresses in a bright yellow coat while the pistachio-Morello cherry is more into green. For always more greed, we literally succumb to the version with caramel, chocolate or vanilla. We event find it combined to a meringue lemon pie. The classic version with chestnut is obviously up for it.
And to enjoy them, you can take them away and eat perfectly cuddled up, but the best way is to enjoy your Mont-Blanc on the spot. Because yes, when you can finally look somewhere else than the window, you’ll discover that Le Mont du Bonheur is not only a pastry shop but also a very clean and warm tea salon as if it had been especially though up not to steal the show from its original pastries.
