The Maison Angelina at the Musée du Luxembourg knows how to delight its customers' taste buds with fine and elegant products. And it continues to do so by creating a pastry called Venetian in homage to the great Italian painter of the 16th century whose works are currently on display in the exhibition Tintoretto, Birth of a Genius, at the Musée du Luxembourg.
Angelina 's pastry chefs were inspired by Tintoretto' s paintings to create this magnificent product composed of an almond crisp, puffed rice, fleur de sel and Genoa bread; and when you bite into it, the magic happens: a light and gourmet compote as well as an orange and lemon cream and a delicate almond mousse are revealed... Yummy! A refined creation that also pays homage to the beautiful Venice, the artist's hometown (hence the name Venetian!)
This little piece of Venice can be enjoyed in the beautiful setting of the Angelina tea room for 9.20 euros (and 7.50 euros to take away) until the end of the exhibition on July 1, 2018. Killing two birds with one stone, you'll be able to feast your eyes at the museum and then your taste buds at the café!
