It’s not always easy to find a tasty French cuisine at affordable prices. With Benoît Gauthier’s Le Grand Pan, you know where to go! For 10 years now, the chef works in Paris 15th arrondissement with a wonderful local-bistro cuisine like we hardly find in Paris.
Working seafood as well as “land” products, Benoît Gauthier knows how to fulfill taste buds… and wallets (€14 for an à la carte main dish at lunchtime, €8 for starters). We enjoy a traditional Blanquette de veau or a big duck breast served with many homemade fries, but more original, pan-fried razor clams with garlic or a delicious velvet crab soup. Everything is marvelously cooked, prepared with simple yet thoroughly chosen ingredients; we love these generous plates.
Le Grand Pan cuisine is now to be found at La Suite, an annex that has just opened. Business meetings, private meal, any reason is a good reason to go and discover La Suite, available only upon booking. Here, no set menu, you only have to ask what you want to have. Table-served dinner in the underground dining room, laid-back aperitif in the ground-level cozy salon, with friends or clients, noting is impossible! As the chef says, the idea is that the outcome is friendly and meets your needs.
