First of all, we want to wish you a very happy new year and we expect this will be the occasion to treat you well!
You can count on us to unearth the little and nice addresses, test them and share them with you of course.
Before jumping to this new year and make you discover new restaurants, we wanted to share all the favorites 2017 of our editorial board.
If you like bistronomic cuisine…
Mokko
In the heart of Montmartre, a true temple for our taste buds has just opened. Called Mokko, chef Arthur Hantz’s very first restaurant has opened and it’s a true gem!
Jérémie
If you’re looking for a tasty restaurant in the 16th arrondissement, we strongly advise you the bistronomic Jérémie restaurant, a traditional cuisine twisted with absolutely delicious modern touches.
Baltard au Louvre
Baltard au Louvre reopens its doors after fantastic embellishment work on the walls and in the plate! Finesse and flavors are here for the greatest happiness of our taste buds… Sticking to François Pinault’s future collection for modern art, this restaurant is surely one of our favorites.
At Mokko
If you like Asian cuisine…
Kodawari Ramen
For a total Japanese immersion, head to a restaurant hidden in Paris Odéon neighborhood, the Kodawari Ramen. On the menu? A unique atmosphere worthy of the best Yokocho in Tokyo and delicious ramen cooked like in the Land of the Rising Sun. We love it!
Yikou
Are you fan of Dim Sum? You know, these small dumplings to eat warm. Yikou offers you to come and taste this Chinese specialty made of French ingredients. The mix is as surprising as successful!
AO, the Izakaya
Since early August 2017, lovers of Japanese cuisine have a new place to be in the 9th arrondissement of the French capital: Ao, the new French-Japanese restaurant in Paris!
If you like Italian cuisine…
Tosca
Tosca is the new restaurant rue du Cirque offering you to discover the best of Italian flavors in a smart but laid-back atmosphere.
Epoca
Authentic Italian bistro, it offers you a flavorful and generous cuisine you can enjoy at the bar with a view open onto the kitchen, on a table with your loved one or with friends on the large table…
If you like a good meat…
Anahi
Anahi is an institution likely to last over time. Located 49 Rue Volta, the restaurant is known by food lovers for decades. It used to be a butcher’s shop before becoming a more or less successful meat restaurant in the 80s. In April 2017, the restaurant gets a second wind with Riccardo Giraudi and his exceptional meats. To (re)discover asap!
Bien Elevé
Meat directly coming from the farmer in Chateauneuf, maturing cellar on the spot, short menu… and oh-so intense delights for meat lovers!
Alix & Mika
Tartare lovers unite! You’re at the right address to enjoy a good raw meat perfectly and finely seasoned. Fishes are also on the menu.
If you like tapas…
Wim à Table
Seated on a stool facing the bar or on a seat at the large table, treat yourself by sharing tapas created by Belgian chef Wim Van Gorp offering creative and sophisticated tapas at reasonable prices. And that’s not all, a wonderful wine list and original cocktails are also offered.
The Cod House
If you like tapas and Asian cuisine, you can go to The Cod House with your eyes closed since you’re welcomed like in Izakaya bars Japanese style. On the menu, homemade cocktails and delicious boards to share!
Chilam Gastrobar
What if we treat ourselves with a beautiful immersion in the land of the Mayas? How about living an incredible culinary getaway in Mexico without leaving Paris? If you’re in, head to the Marais neighborhood and push the doors of Chilam Gastrobar to discover its delicious tacos, acclaimed by the well-considered connoisseurs!
If you like to be surprised…
Abattoir Végétal
Vegan friends! We discover an amazing address in Paris 18th arrondissement: Abattoir Végétal (vegetable abattoir). This name is an historical nod to the address (a former local butcher’s shop) and sets the tone. But be rest assured, here, the only things slaughtered are fruits and vegetables for your greatest pleasure and the least we can say is that the result is delicious and at a ridiculously low price!
Fuumi
Do you like Japanese cuisine? Do you like Mexican cuisine as much? You’ll love Fuumi that offers a very curious but oh-so delicious concept: the maki-burrito. A concept developed in the three restaurants in Paris 2nd arrondissement, 9th and 11th.
If you like original places and sophisticated cuisine…
Pertinence
Chic and modern decoration, creative cuisine mixing French tradition and subtle Asian twists, wonderful plates with thousands of flavors… Pertinence is just right and we’re happy with it.
Le Frank
At the heart of the Louis Vuitton foundation, in a wonderful decorum, Tablettes starred-chef Jean-Louis Nomicos offers a delicious menu throughout the day. The place’s magic is also in the plate!
Limon
Le Limon is the brand-new cozy bar-restaurant in Paris 8th arrondissement where you’ll love to have a seat for a delicious meal or a very-well accompanied drink. We run to discover this spot where Juan Arbealez gives pride of place to exceptional citrus fruits.
Mr T
A surprising discovery we made late this year that delighted our eyes, our taste buds and our bank adviser! Original decoration, bold and delicious cuisine, a wonderful wine list and original cocktails… Everything is gathered in this new address in the Marais neighborhood.
