Madame Brasserie is the name of Thierry Marx 's new restaurant on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. Enjoy a breathtaking view of Paris while savoring creative French cuisine featuring local produce, all under a superb bay window - that's what awaits you.
A brasserie that honors French cuisine and sharing, that's what's on offer."Exciting and inspiring, the Tower represents the elegance and excellence of French savoir-faire that sparkle in the eyes of millions of visitors every year. Madame Brasserie will allow them to immerse themselves in the Paris of today, and we hope it will attract a local audience in search of new culinary discoveries. Madame Brasserie completes an outstanding gastronomic experience and confirms the Tower's position as an exceptional culinary venue," says Jean-François Martins, President of the Société d'Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel.
First of all, you're wondering how you're going to get to Madame Brasserie without spending hours queuing. Once you've made your reservation, you're advised to arrive at least 30 minutes early. At the first checkpoint to enter the area, a fast-track queue is dedicated to the restaurant. Then go to the booth in the center of the area to pick up your passes and take the elevator up to the rapid access area.
Once upstairs, before you're seduced by the food, you're seduced by the place. For Madame Brasserie, talented designer Ramy Fischler and architect Nicola Delon have come up withhuge bay windows and a decor that favors raw, responsible materials for a chic, modern design .
Madame Brasserie ticks all the boxes, from business lunch to family meal to romantic evening in love. On the plate, Thierry Marx offers simple, gourmet cuisine, more accessible than the Jules Verne, and in keeping with a sustainable approach. "My mission as a craftsman is to give memory to the ephemeral. My challenge is to create a cuisine that is simple, healthy and a source of pleasure, as durable as the monument itself," he declares.
Note that the menu varies from lunch to dinner, and that prices depend on the location chosen. For example, it will cost you more to sit by the bay window on the Eiffel Tower or Trocadero side, than in the heart of the brasserie. At lunchtime, prices start at €48 per adult and €20 per child in the heart of the restaurant, €85 for a view of the Eiffel Tower and its terrace, and €120 for a bird's-eye view of the Seine and Trocadéro. Note, however, that the Eiffel Tower and Paris views include a glass of Champagne, wine and coffee, which ultimately justifies the higher prices. In the evening, the menu becomes more refined, rising from €175 to €245.
On our visit, we were able to discover the lunch menu. A pretty, simple but good menu, which we liked for the choice of fresh produce and the quality of the preparations. The menu changes with the seasons.
The Madame Brasserie menu we tested and approved:
Brasserie Lunch Menu
We love fresh bread in a chicbox
Starter
Dish
Dessert
Old-fashioned chocolate cake , crème anglaise infused with grué chips
A little dense because it's baked the old-fashioned way, but very tasty, reserved for real cocoa fans.
Pavlova végétale, fruits rouges, pralines roses et fleur de sureau
An eggless meringue made with seaweed and potato starch for a fine, crunchy texture, and a strawberry coulis with the real flavors of fresh strawberries.
In the evening, enjoy Pâté en croûte with foie gras from the famous Maison Vérot, blue lobster, spelt risotto with Cantal cheese or yellow farmhouse poultry with spinach cannelloni and fromage frais with Marengo jus. We finish with Père Fabre goat's milk cheese, roasted apricots and Baba au rhum.
In short, if you'd like to dine on sustainable French cuisine based on local produce at the iconic French monument, the Eiffel Tower, this is the place to go. Don't forget to reserve your table and location. And don't forget to enjoy the view from the first-floor terrace, with its unique panorama of the Champs de Mars, before coming down from your cloud.
