Slice Pizza Club, the pizzeria with XXL shares in Paris

You know those XXL pizza slices you only see in American movies? Well, here you are! Slice is the story of two associates, big fans of American-style pizza, who wanted to launch the concept in France. They rolled up their sleeves and spent months perfecting their recipe for a dough that, though thin, is both elastic and full-bodied.

To suit the more discerning French palate, they decided to create recipes that were gourmet, but less fatty. The menu is short and concise, so you don't have to waste time choosing. There's a choice between the Margherita with a good tomato sauce, topped with cheese and homemade pesto, the Spicy Vodka (an American specialty that cooks the vodka, removing the alcohol but not the taste), topped with stracciatella and the Classic pepperoni, which, as the name suggests, is topped with pepperoni. These pizzas can be topped with stracciatella and 4 sauces (cheese, truffle, honey or jalapenos).

We accompany it all with Frozen Lemonade, homemade ice tea and finish with the inevitable cheesecakes, brownies and cookies. The two of us took 3 slices, and in the end, we were quite full. Special mention for the pepperoni version. Prices range from €4.50 to €6 for an XXL slice, with an extra euro for sauces.

As for the restaurant, you'll have to love red! Red and stripes, in fact. We looked for Charlie, but couldn't find him... The 2nd floor address is smaller, but you know what they say: small is beautiful. The spot on the 8th, the one we tested, is bigger, with a floor and soon, a little terrace out front. Slice Pizza Club plans to create a loyalty system that will allow you to take your +1 to all-you-can-eat pizza parties! Those who like a good deal need not worry.

It's rumored that pizza has become France's favorite food, dethroning even the burger. It has to be said that with its conviviality, ideal for sharing and easy to eat, even to take away, it ticks a lot of boxes. And with all the games and Olympics evenings on the horizon, it's likely to become an addiction. Take note of the address: the pizzas in Slice mode are very good.
