IfWong Kar-wai's In the Mood for Love is so beloved by cinephiles, it's undoubtedly for its shimmering costumes and sets (and its great love story, too, mind you...), which give the film a very special charm. It was with this iconography in mind that Laurence, Alpha and Tom imagined Wukong The Grand Master, a Chinese restaurant recently opened on the Canal Saint-Martin.
Working in the purest Chinese tradition, the chefs create a selection of traditional dishes inspired by the specialties of Eastern China, from dumplings and noodles to xiaolongbao bursting with hot broth. This myriad of Chinese dishes made on site celebrate the culinary essence of the region, and should satisfy lovers of flavors from elsewhere.
To accompany these Chinese specialties, Wukong The Grand Master's head bartender, Junior, has devised a menu of creative cocktails that you can even try without dinner. Yes, the restaurant offers you the chance to have a drink, feast on its Chinese dishes or do both at the same time... before ending up partying on the spot.
