The Hilton Paris Opéra ideally located at the Gare Saint-Lazare and a stone's throw from the department stores has something to seduce you. Created in 1889 for the Universal Exhibition and formerly named the Grand Hotel Terminus, this hotel whose facade and Grand Salon are classified as historical monuments, celebrated its 130th anniversary in 2019. Today, it retains its charm of yesteryear.
It was the first hotel to offer electricity, telephone and elevator, a great luxury at the time. Travelers could once access the hotel directly via the Passerelle de l'Impératrice Eugénie. Now closed, this footbridge now houses the Café Dalloyau.
The Grand Salon, named "Snack Spot" in the 1950s, was at the time one of the most fashionable places in the capital. The whole of Paris and the youth used to come there at any time like Johnny Hallyday in his youth.
It is in its pretty setting, with its Belle Epoque atmosphere that you can come and settle down quietly, in the peace of the bustle and enjoy a real lunch, snack, after or dinner break.
From noon to 10 pm, you can enjoy a menu that offers cold cuts, croque-monsieur, shrimp baos or even arancini to share.
On the menu, we let ourselves be tempted by the chicken burger, the caesar salad or the spicy glazed chicken with potatoes. A simple menu with exotic accents, created by chef Eric Lenormand.
As for cocktails, the chef mixologies Pierre Galéa and his team have what it takes to delight you with custom-made creations such as this delicious mocktail made for us every week.
We finish with a good gourmet coffee of course.
For the workers, note that the Hilton Opera offers rooms for the day to telework. For a hundred euros a day, you have the ideal spot, well located with possible access on demand and with extra charge to a restaurant and meeting room.
