Just a stone's throw from the Champs-Élysées, La Réserve Paris combines Easter chocolate with haute pâtisserie. For the 2025 edition, Pastry Chef Jordan Talbot pays tribute to one of the symbols of French patisserie: the religieuse. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful palace creations, and unquestionably one of the most gourmet, La Réserve's Easter egg is a real favorite with the editors.
At La Réserve, Jordan offers us an elegant interpretation in the form of a Signature Easter Egg in Grand Cru Dominican Republic chocolate, whose pearly silhouette recalls the poaching of this gourmet icon. Placed on a mendicant-style tablet, combining candied Corsican clementines, caramelized almonds and candied ginger, the egg opens like a bonbonnière to reveal precious truffles: Piedmont hazelnut, buckwheat praline and caramel chocolate. A real work of sweet goldsmith, designed to be enjoyed by many, at the heart of a family celebration or with friends. The Œuf Signature is priced at 85 euros and available to order via the La Réserve Paris website.
To extend the experience, Jordan Talbot has created L'Instant Gourmand, an exclusive Parisian tea-time-style snack, to be enjoyed only over the Easter weekend, in the cosy lounges of Bar Le Gaspard or La Bibliothèque. This three-part sweet moment begins with a refined selection of pastries: Citrus tart, Religieuse with Bronté pistachio and orange blossom, Paris-Brest with Piedmont hazelnut and Brioche feuilletée Gianduja and pear. Next, a more daring touch with a Mango with spicy sorbet and peanut cream, a nod to a signature dessert from Gabriel, the hotel's three-starred restaurant. The snack ends on an intensely chocolatey note with a Trois Chocolats cake, a true sweet apotheosis.
The special Easter Afternoon Tea is offered as a limited edition on Saturday April 19, Sunday April 20 and Monday April 21, from 3pm to 6pm. Two formulas are available: at 65 euros with a choice of hot beverage (tea, coffee or chocolate), or at 89 euros including a glass of champagne or an Easter cocktail.
With these creations, La Réserve Paris offers a contemporary and poetic reinterpretation of French pastry classics, in keeping with the warm and refined spirit of Easter. For discerning gourmets or those in search of a fine experience, this is an elegant sweet break in a beautiful Parisian setting, an experience to be enjoyed for an afternoon, between tradition and innovation. For our part, we loved the egg garnished with its many chocolates in two flavors. From the intense chocolate shell to the mendicant-style base, it's a wonderful discovery.
