While Paris remains beautiful even under its gray skies, we'd love to see an end to the rain. So, when will the sun return to the capital and the surrounding region? Despite autumn, we're not giving up hope of enjoying some sunshine. We take a look at the weather forecast for the next few days.

Whatever the weather, Paris always manages to delight us. Rain, shine, snow or shine, the capital is full of great ideas for outings in all weathers. But the fact remains that the climate in Paris isn't always what you'd dream of. And while it's not unheard of in certain seasons to find the capital under the grey skies it's often known for, the longer it rains, the more we long for the sun.

With so much grey in the air, the question is increasingly being asked: when will it stop raining in Paris? For if there are those comforting spots where we like to take refuge when the weather turns gray, we find ourselves dreaming of terraces and bucolic strolls while watching for the slightest ray of sunshine, in search of the blue of the sky.

So, when's the sun coming back to Paris? Yes, even though it's already autumn, we're still hoping for a few days of sunshine in this period synonymous with greyness. In October, however, we'll have to be patient. While a few sunny afternoons may punctuate the week of October 7, 2024, the weather continues to oscillate between storms, rain and gloom, according to Météo France. By the middle of the week of October 14, 2024, clear days should be more frequent, first in the east of the Île de France region, then across the whole of the Paris region.

In the meantime, whatever the weather, we'll always have some great ideas for outings to help you make the most of the City of Light. So, to help you wait out the rain, here's a list of things to do in Paris in the rain. And for families, there's a special selection to enjoy with the kids.
