The Olympic flame in Val-de-Marne: Who are the torchbearers for Sunday's relay?

Jason Lamy-Chappuis, Estelle Mossely and Gauvain Sers... Many of them, both anonymous and well-known, will be carrying the Olympic flame this Sunday, July 21, 2024, in the Val-de-Marne region between Orly and Créteil. After two days in Paris, followed by stops in Val-d'Oise and Seine-et-Marne, the Olympic flame continues its journey through the Île-de-France region. While the famous flame is due to reach the Tuileries Gardens on July 26, before the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games, it is stopping off in Val-de-Marne this Sunday, July 21, 2024.

In the inner suburbs of the Paris region, the Olympic flame will be criss-crossing a dozen communes. On the program? Stops at Orly, where the new terminus of line 14 has just been inaugurated. The flame will continue its journey to Château d'Ormesson, Champigny, Rungis, Château de Vincennes, Joinville and Vitry-sur-Seine.

This Sunday, those planning to travel to Paris to catch a glimpse of the flame can also expect to see Jason Lamy-Chappuis, Olympic Nordic combined champion at Vancouver 2010, andEstelle Mossely, Olympic boxing champion at Rio 2016. Also announced are singer Gauvain Sers and celebrity chef Guillaume Gomez.
