Hard blow for Rock en Seine just a few hours before the launch of this new 20th edition. In a press release published on August 21, the festival team announced the cancellation of Florence + The Machine, originally scheduled for Saturday August 26, 2023. " We regret to learn of the sudden cancellation of Florence + The Machine's appearance at Rock en Seine for health reasons," it reads.
But the Rock en Seine team, which had already had to deal with the cancellation of Rage Against The Machine in 2022, has not said its last word, and announces that it has been working " relentlessly to complete the Saturday line-up in a very short space of time ". The festival is also pleased to announce that Cypress Hill will replace Florence Welch on Saturday.
This is not the first time that the illustrious American hip-hop group has appeared at Rock en Seine. After two acclaimed performances in 2010 and 2017, Cypress Hill will be taking over the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud for the third time!
Considered by many as the pioneers of the 90s US hip-hop scene, the members of Cypress Hill are renowned for their over-the-top performances. This August 26, the group formed in 1988 in California will take the opportunity to revisit their legendary album"Black Sunday", released 30 years ago, in 1993. As a reminder, Cypress Hill was at Le Cabaret Vert last weekend. This Saturday, B-Real, Sen Dog and DJ Muggs are set to play Rock en Seine!
For those of you wishing to be reimbursed for the evening of August 26, please note that the festival will be releasing further information on its social networks and website in the coming days. So stay tuned!
