Last year, Ritz pastry chef François Perret has got into a new adventure: leaving his team and his pastry lab at the Place Vendôme to drive a food truck across California to reinterpret American recipes in a French pastry spirit.
As you can follow this adventure on Netflix from June 10, these exclusive and mouthwatering pastries come to life and can be enjoyed now in real life at the Ritz’s brand-new temporary pastry counter set at the entrance of the hotel, and open Tuesday to Saturday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Foodies can discover the famous American pastries revisited by François Perret: S’more (choux bun filled with chocolate ice cream, coated in crispy chocolate and blowtorched marshmallow), Taco (delicate and crispy honeycombs filled with creamy fromage blanc cream and caramelized pistachios), as well as Carrot Cake and Cookie.
Beside those street pastries, Ritz also provides unmissable pastries: tea-lemon marble cake, red-berry napoleon, strawberry pie and even marble entremets, as well as madeleines to take away in boxes designed by the famous palace.
So good!
Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
