In the beating heart of the Marais, between the lively Archives and Verrerie streets, Boubalé, nestled in theGrand Mazarin hotel, has established itself as the must-visit gourmet spot. This address, Maisons Pariente's first Parisian stopover, vibrates to the rhythm of childhood memories of Michelin-starred chef Assaf Granit, who passionately revisits Ashkenazi and Oriental flavors for a culinary experience that awakens the senses.
On Sundays, Boubalé invites Parisians and tourists, families and friends, to enjoy its traditional brunch: a sweet and savoury buffet set against a backdrop of folkloric hangings, in an atmosphere "just like home". On the counter, a succession of dishes promises an exhilarating culinary journey - schnitzel (breaded chicken cutlet), green shakshuka, Yaprah (vine leaves, rice, yoghurt), vegetable pies or roast salmon - where each dish tells a story of distant lands.
Further on, freshly baked viennoiseries, cakes and colorful pastries compete with a variety of cheeses and fine charcuterie.
In the center of the room, on a rustic round table, you'll find a farandole of creamy taramas for spreading, the famous chopped liver, as well as cabbage, beet, raw vegetable and herb potato salads. And let's not forget the vitamin corner next door, featuring an assortment of fresh seasonal fruits and pressed juices.
To savor this feast, two rooms, two atmospheres: the warm, hushed intimacy of the restaurant, or the soft light of the winter garden, with its country-chic style and sugared-white hues.
Those with a sweet tooth can accompany their buffet with à la carte dishes proposed by the address's executive chef, Itamar Gargi. A tempting choice of crispy Borekas (puff pastries filled with potato and cheese), eggs Benedict and burger for the savoury side, babka perdue and fluffy pancakes for the sweet side.
And what would brunch be without its bevy of beverages? Coffees, cappuccinos, teas and inspired cocktails like Boubalé Tonic or the famous Expresso Martini, to add a sophisticated touch to your meal.
At Boubalé, gastronomy is as playful as it is refined. Once a month, creative workshops awaken the imagination of young and old alike, while a candy bar delights sweet tooths.
This is the gourmet table to reserve before a Sunday stroll in the neighborhood (or a shopping spree at the BHV)!
