It's going to be sunny and hot! Yes, it will! And among the capital's finest terrace addresses, we'd like to introduce you to Jardin Privé, nestled in the heart of the Novotel des Halles. You can't see it from the outside, so you'll have to push open the doors to discover its Garden of Eden, just a stone's throw from the canopy.
In this pretty, confidential patio, tables await you, surrounded by sweetly scented maples, jasmine and hydrangea. A bucolic, chic and cosy atmosphere to spend a good time in this very secret garden.
Discover this green haven of peace and savor a tantalizing blend of land and sea flavors. Guests can choose from two menus: the Chef's Menu and the Barbecue Menu.
Executive Chef Nicolas Amelin has imagined springtime recipes inspired by his Basque origins. Using numerous products from his region, he seduces the taste buds of gourmets. These include Asperges blanches des Landes, mousse d'Ossau Iraty, ventrèche de la maison Montalet and piment d'Espelette jelly, Carpaccio de bar, fenouil, estragon, kiwi, lemon extraction, fleur de fenouil and oxalys, the timeless Sea bass, carrot harissa, raw roasted fennel carrot and vegetable juice and the Terre-mer entrecôte de cochon du Tarn from Maison Montalet and chipirons, saffron corn in two textures, padron pepper. Freshness and elegance are the hallmarks of these colorful dishes.
This year, Jardin Privé's indoor patio inaugurates its barbecue offer to enjoy an unusual convivial moment in the heart of Paris's 1ᵉʳ arrondissement! Meat, fish and vegetables are grilled "just like at home"! The menu includes: whole Burratina, old-fashioned tomatoes and basil, Gaspacho verde, grilled Octopus, poultry with lemon, salad of the moment (salade gourmande with red tuna during our visit) and the unmissable Steak d'Espadon, condiment citron et piment d'Espelette. Dishes are accompanied by the garnish of your choice, including grilled zucchini, potatoes with thyme and quinoa... Whether on its own or to share, this seasonal Barbecue is sure to please!
We end on a sweet note with the lovely desserts. Pêche Melba and seasonal strawberry tart were on the menu as we passed, a perfect way to end the meal.
Note that the Patio du Jardin Privé is open Monday to Sunday, for lunch from 12:00 to 14:30 and for dinner from 19:00 to 22:30. The barbecue menu is available at lunchtime, Monday to Friday, weather permitting. Otherwise, the classic à la carte menu awaits you, as well as the option of going indoors if the weather turns nasty.
