blaDo you fancy a royal getaway in the Paris region? Let's head for the Waldorf Astoria - Trianon Palace, Hilton 's five-star hotel just a stone's throw from the Château de Versailles and its immense park. This luxury hotel offers much more than just a stay: it's an experience far from the hustle and bustle of the capital! As soon as you step into the hotel's long, light-filled, uncluttered lobby, you're immediately drawn in by the small decorative details on the walls and ceilings. Mouldings, chandeliers, armchairs... Everything is done to give you a feeling of well-being from the moment you enter. A blend of chic, sobriety and modernity that immediately puts you at ease.
The rooms are very spacious and particularly comfortable: king-size bed, TV and Wi-Fi, desk, alarm clock... the ultimate in comfort. The bathroom, immense and in pure colors, is not to be outdone either, with bathtub, Italian shower head, marble sinks... The luckiest guests will have a view of the Parc de Versailles and its animals (mainly sheep), while others will enjoy a view of the hotel's terrace and rose garden. Whatever the case, comfort is total and you'll sleep like a toddler during your stay.
When it comes to dining, there's plenty to choose from: the La Véranda restaurant offers mouth-watering bistronomic cuisine, while the Gordon Ramsay restaurant at Le Trianon, one of the famous British chef's many top-of-the-range restaurants, invites you to enjoy the finest gastronomic delights. And of course, the hotel bar is the perfect place for a last drink before going to bed or heading home. For your information, the restaurants and bar are open to hotel guests and non-guests alike.
As for the menu, the editorial team had the privilege of discovering that of La Véranda. A mouth-watering bistronomic menu that has nothing to envy the capital's top restaurants. For the main course, we were tempted by a cod demi-sel roasted in butter, grilled zucchini and sorrel sauce. A dish of rare finesse, we savored every last morsel. For dessert, the raspberry and yuzu Saint-Honoré concluded the dinner in style, accompanied by a ball of basil, mint and yuzu sorbet as a pre-dessert.
And for the morning? Restaurant La Véranda awaits you with a tasty continental breakfast... Eggs Benedict, cheese platter, fruit salad, pastries, coffee... A great way to start the day! Fancy lunch on the grass? The Waldorf Astoria - Trianon Palace also offers picnic baskets to take away, for a romantic meal (or with anyone else) in the shade of one of the trees in the park of the Château de Versailles. These tasty picnic baskets can be booked on the hotel's website, whether you're a hotel guest or not, and then collected for a chic, bucolic moment like no other!
And what about activities? The idea is to offer you a true experience combining relaxation and culture, so the Waldorf Astoria invites you to take advantage of its facilities and services: the Guerlain spa invites you to take a gentle break with its various treatments. Imperial orchid, royal bee, personalized facial, body sublimation, hair removal... 1, 2 or 3 hours (depending on the treatment chosen) for a moment of unparalleled ecstasy and well-being.
A visit to the spa's sauna or pool, open to all hotel guests, is also an ideal way to round off this moment of relaxation in style. Please note that spa treatments are available to both hotel guests and external visitors at an additional cost. Access to the swimming pool and sauna is included in your stay. For a sporty moment, you can also visit the hotel's fitness room, which offers a whole range of machines and mats for exercising. There's also an outdoor tennis court in the hotel grounds.
Located along the Versailles park, just a stone's throw from the Petit Trianon, staying at the Waldorf Astoria - Trianon Palace is also the perfect opportunity to take a stroll through the 830-hectare gardens of the château, and discover this landmark of French history (we're talking about the château, of course) where the most illustrious of French kings, Louis XIV, lived. For history buffs who'd like to explore the château grounds without getting too tired, Versailles Events, organizers of made-to-measure events in Versailles, will pick you up at your hotel for historic Segway tours of the gardens. The perfect way to brush up on your French history. For the rest, you can also visit the Musée Lambinet (Versailles' own museum), or simply stroll around town.
Corporate seminars are also possible, organized in a pavilion located directly opposite the hotel and reserved exclusively for this type of event. For your wedding (or that of one of your loved ones), you can also book the Salle Clemenceau, one of the hotel's most beautiful rooms (if not the most beautiful), known for having welcomed several high dignitaries who worked on the Treaty of Versailles for over 6 months.
In short, the Waldorf Astoria - Trianon Palace is the perfect place to relax in a chic, bucolic and soothing setting just a stone's throw from the capital. The perfect place to take a post-Covid break, combining well-being and culture, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Shall we book the weekend, folks?
