Meat lovers and especially smoked meats lovers, head to Fumé in Paris 8th arrondissement, the “most Mediterranean smoke house in Paris” according to the concerned people.
On the menu, Israeli-inspired dishes. Beef, chicken, fish it has it all. Many dishes are cooked in an authentic American smokehouse. Please note the menu has been created by Top Chef France 2021 chef Ruben Sarfati.
The idea at Fumé is to eat nice and tasty meats smoked with oak wood or nice salmon smoked with hickory wood. According to how long the smoking process takes, the taste will be more or less strong with a more or less spicy, resinous, musky or fruity wood.
But at Fumé, plants are also vital and enhanced with Mediterranean recipes.
Expect then to enjoy a selection of mouthwatering kemias and sides: homemade bottarga taramasalata, smoked eggplant caviar, sundried tomato hummus and potatoes-soft-boiled egg expect you. If you want to have a bite of everything - like we did - go for the assortment of kemias to share (€35).
In addition to beautiful smoked meat salads such as the Thai chicken salad or the smoked salmon salad, enjoy warm dishes such as smoked beef top round or warm salmon with a nice smoky taste.
Meats, fish and burgers are served with a side of baby potatoes, grilled vegetables, roasted sweet potatoes, roasted endives and salad.
Last but not least, go for the staple chocolate cake, vanilla ice cream and smoked salted butter caramel, the famous scrumptious cookie and the strawberry charlotte likely to delight whipped cream fans.
So, let us go to a smokehouse, shall we?
