Doron, the Israeli restaurant in Paris that makes you travel to Tel Aviv

The Doron restaurant started from a simple desire: to reproduce"those good little dishes that my grandmother used to cook on Friday nights, [avec] the smell of spices coming from the kitchen filled all our senses." Installed on avenue de Villiers in the 17th arrondissement, and soon on rue de Clichy, Jason takes us back to the Mediterranean cuisine of his childhood, based on Israeli recipes from Tel Aviv to be shared on beautiful platters.

Check out the beautiful platter for 5 people, at 49.90 euros! It includes hummus, shnitzel party, small breaded chicken strips that melt in the mouth, batata mamie, tasty melting sweet potatoes marinated in tahina, hatsolim al grille, smoked eggplant caviar, alongside Lebanese tabouleh and salads. The recipes are very tasty, and allow you to taste everything. We especially like the sweet potato and the chicken!

You can also take the specialties à la carte, from 8 to 13 euros depending on the dish. Carpaccio of roast beef with dried tomatoes, runny egg and tahina with small vegetables with pesto or vegetable salads are proposed in plates, with always the same concern of greediness with spicy and tasty dishes. Confit lamb shoulders, sliced steak and chicken shawarma will please meat lovers!

But Doron's big specialty is pita! Jason offers the Doron's burger with beef and lamb with sumac and pistachios, the pita shawarma, with hai salad, katsous and button mushroom, the pita bakar, with sirloin steak, hai salad and tahina onion confit with basil and the vegetarian version, fresh button mushrooms, hai salad, katsous salad, tehina and garlic cream with soft egg. The pitots are a big hit to take away, and we confirm that it is indeed delicious.

To finish the meal, Doron makes a lost halla, a lost brioche with chocolate sauce, a chocolate cake with sesame cream and halva and a bowl of fresh fruit!
