Ideally located between the rue des Abbesses and the rue Lepic, Café Aristide, the new restaurant-cocktail bar of theHotel Monsieur Aristide, opens to us for a gourmet break, at any time of the day.
In this charming little hotel recently opened, we discover a large central bar with a small cosy restaurant room in the background. Continuing on, a pretty terrace on an inner courtyard, hidden like a speakeasy, reveals itself to you to have lunch or to sit outside, on nice days.
As for the decor, Marion Collard, the architect, was inspired by the history of the place. Here, she transports us back in time through mottled and vintage pieces, all in an old Paris atmosphere.
In the evening, we go and sit at a nice table lit by candlelight to enjoy a good meal. On the program, mezzes, small plates to share and nice dishes well prepared.
To begin with, we let ourselves be seduced by the excellent Stracciatella, beet and walnut and the beautiful plate of divine charcuteries of Aristide.
We then continue with the Smoked Herring with carrot and apple and the good Crudo of wild Sea Bass with virgin spicy sauce.
For the main course, we love the Casarecces with Ndugo alla Puttanesca, a fresh Neapolitan-style pasta with a good taste of tomato sauce, capers, olives and chili. Served hot, it is a must.
If you're more of a fish person, opt for the fillet of sea bream with its crispy skin, accompanied by melting chard and peppers.
For a sweet finish, we love the chocolate mousse with its orange flavor, crunchy hazelnuts and zest.
So, let's take a break out of time?
