In the heart of the Bourse district, the Hollywood Savoy, a famous meeting place for Paris's "tout-Paris" of the 80s, is getting a facelift under the aegis of the Fitz Group, which already boasts addresses such as Vesper and Abstinence. This reopening marks a new era for the establishment, combining historic charm with modernity. Fitz Group's intervention has breathed new life into the place, blending respect for heritage with innovation to create a space that is both intimate and vibrant.
The establishment has been meticulously renovated to retain its soul while integrating modern, luxurious elements. Interior designer Sophie Lacroix, renowned for her refined and detailed approach, was entrusted with the transformation. She succeeded in blending the old with the new, creating a space reminiscent of the luxurious carriages of the Orient-Express, with their gilded details and comfortable banquettes.
This transformation is not just architectural or culinary; it is also felt in the overall atmosphere of the place, which aims to propel the Hollywood Savoy as Paris' "place to be". With its refined ambience and lively evenings, the restaurant promises to captivate long-time regulars and newcomers alike, making every visit a special occasion.
In the kitchen, new executive chef Gregory Cohen offers a menu that celebrates sharing and conviviality. Dishes range from lobster rolls to mature prime rib, with classics revisited to appeal to a modern, discerning clientele. The restaurant transforms in the evening to offer a livelier experience, with live shows and an intimate atmosphere that continues in the Savoy Club, a more discreet space located in the basement.
Dishes are designed to please small tables and large groups alike, with particular attention paid to the quality of ingredients and presentation. The exclusive Maison Kasnodar caviar menu adds a touch of luxury, with options ranging from 30g to 250g. Vegetarians are not forgotten, with thoughtful dishes such as Labaneh prekeeh and a variety of fresh salads.
Our experience began with the crispy soft-boiled eggs, served on a bed of creamed spinach. Perfectly crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth on the inside, with the great taste of spinach, we recommend it. The Lobster Roll, generous and richly garnished, offered a tasty combination of freshness and indulgence.
The tuna tataki, served with fresh peas, is sure to delight even the most demanding palates. Grilled organic salmon, served with a creamy parsnip purée, demonstrated the chef's ability to sublimate simple ingredients into a sophisticated, comforting dish.
To end on a sweet note, the perfectly creamy rice pudding and smooth chocolate mousse rounded off the meal on a lovely sweet note. These classic yet masterfully executed desserts rounded off the meal at the Hollywood Savoy in style.
In fine weather, the restaurant's newly inaugurated terrace offers a welcoming, designer outdoor space, ideal for summer lunches or balmy evenings. Seating around 40, it offers a charming setting to enjoy the lively neighborhood while savoring the dishes on the menu.
The Hollywood Savoy, with its renewed ambience, innovative cuisine and new terrace, is once again positioning itself as a must-visit destination for all those seeking a memorable culinary experience in a historic and elegant Parisian setting.
