Looking for a trendy address for a gourmet break? Head for Le Café du 19M, the gastro-stylish hot spot to be discovered in the capital's 19th arrondissement! Located in the heart of La Galerie du 19M, the exhibition space of the Manufacture de Mode Chanel, it welcomes visitors all week long for lunch or simply a coffee break.
Somewhere between Paris and Seine Saint Denis, Le Café du 19M, conceived in collaboration with Grand Cuisine, is located on the first floor of a contemporary building designed by architect Rudy Ricciotti. Art and gastronomy become one in this new fashion-food venue, where chefs and baristas rub shoulders with designers.
Set against a backdrop of elegant, contemporary furniture by Studio GGSV, you can enjoy coffees from committed roaster The Beans on Fire, or the daily menu concocted by chef Laurine Marty. À la carte? Revisited traditional Parisian bistro dishes and veggiestreet-food at affordable prices. The cuisine is light and tasty, with seasonal produce and ingredients sourced from the best local and regional artisans and farmers.
Expect to pay around €15 for a main course and €7 for dessert.
For our part, we opted for the melting eggplant, whose sweet and savory seasonings delighted our taste buds, and the light, ultra-fresh steamed cod, ideal for summer lunches.
As for desserts, it was impossible not to fall for the Pavlova and its bed of tangy fruit, or the famous millefeuille à la dois, gourmet and extra-light!
A Café worth the detour, to be enjoyed without moderation!
