The SNCF is once again renewing its service offering with JustGo, a brand-new device that lets you board a Train express régional (TER) without needing to book or pay for your ticket. We explain in detail this new idea to make TER travel even more flexible.

One beep at the departure station, another at the arrival station: that's what SNCF Connect is now offering with its new JustGo service. With JustGo, you'll no longer need to buy your ticket in advance, as your smartphone's geolocation will determine your departure and arrival stations, and you'll be billed later.

How does it work?

  • register with the SNCF Connect application (offers or tickets tab) by selecting JustGo
  • board the regional express train (TER) of your choice, declaring it on the app
  • click again when you get off the train

Once you've completed your journey, and even if you've forgotten to click when you get off the train, JustGo calculates the final fare based on your phone's geolocation. Finally, at the end of the month, TER users receive a bill for the total number of journeys made. The good news is that if the total amount exceeds that of a monthly subscription, the SNCF offers the user the option of paying the subscription amount, which remains more attractive for the user.

How do I benefit from the JustGo service?

  • Open a customer account on SNCF Connect
  • Enter your telephone number
  • Register your credit card
  • Activate access to your geolocation

For the time being, the JustGo service is only available on the TER network of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, but SNCF's ambition is to offer this service to all regions. To be continued on the TER network of the Île-de-France region.
