France sees life in gold! Since the start of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the French delegation has been winning one victory after another. At the time of writing, France has already won 8 gold medals: Manon Apithy-Brunet in sabre, Nicolas Gestin in canoe slalom, Léon Marchand in swimming with 3 medals (400m 4 swim, 200m butterfly and 200 breaststroke), Pauline Ferrand-Prévot in mountain biking, Cassandre Beaugrand in women's triathlon, not forgetting rugby à 7 with Antoine Dupont and his team!
Hopefully, many more medals will be won by the French over the next few days, particularly in judo and swimming. To be experienced until August 4, 2024 at the Paris La Défense Arena, swimming is an opportunity to follow great athletes, such as Léon Marchand, already a gold medallist therefore, but also the inescapable Florent Manaudou.
Flag-bearer for the French delegation at these Paris 2024 Olympics, alongside discus thrower Mélina Robert-Michon, the French swimmer is looking to add to his impressive medal haul by perhaps winning a fourth consecutive Olympic medal in the 50-meter freestyle.
It's hard to list all his victories, but Florent Manaudou has notably won four Olympic medals (one gold in London and two silvers in the 50 m freestyle, and another silver in the 4 x 100 m) between 2012 and 2021.
So, on what days, at what times and on what channels can you follow the swimmer who is the darling of the French? Florent Manaudou is expected in the Paris La Défense Arena pool this Thursday, August 1, for the morning session of the 50 m freestyle, scheduled to start at 11:18 am. The semi-final is scheduled for the evening of the same day, at 8:46 pm. The final is scheduled for Friday August 2 at 8.30pm.
Florent Manaudou is also expected to take part in the 4x100 m 4-swimming relay (in crawl), alongside Yohann Ndoye-Brouard in backstroke, Maxime Grousset in butterfly and Léon Marchand in breaststroke. This series is scheduled to start on August 3 at 12:40 pm. The series final is scheduled for August 4 at 7:06 pm.
The swimming events can be seen on France Télévisions channels, including France 2 and France 3.
