They set off early this morning from the Trocadéro, completing a long 273-kilometer loop through the Île-de-France region, returning to the Trocadéro at around 5:30pm. The road cycling athletes put in a long effort, lasting over 6 hours. An exceptional performance and hard work that will not have been in vain for the two Frenchmen rewarded this Saturday, August 3, 2024.
Valentin Madouas came second in the event, takingsilver, with Christophe Laporte close behind to claim bronze. Two Frenchmen on the road cycling podium, behind Belgium's Remco Evenepoel.
This magical double victory was applauded by the public, who gathered en masse along the route. Runners were able to admire the Montmartre district and the center of the capital, skirt the Buttes-Chaumont park, discover the Hauts-de-Seine, the Chevreuse valley and the Yvelines...
