Paralympic Flame: who are the torchbearers during the relay this Wednesday in Paris?

Actor Jackie Chan, comedian Jarry, rapper Georgio, spaceman Jean-François Clervoy, French modern pentathlon athlete Elodie Clouvel and cyclist Raymond Pellé ... these are just some of the personalities who will be carrying the Paralympic flame in the capital this Wednesday, August 28, the day of the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

After a relay in the Île-de-France region, the 12 Paralympic flames arrive in Paris this Wednesday, August 28. That same day, the capital will vibrate to the rhythm of the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. As with the Olympic Games, the opening ceremony will take place outside a stadium. It is between the Avenue des Champs-Élysées and the Place de la Concorde that this great evening is expected to take place.

Meanwhile, the 12 Paralympic flames continue their journey. The Paralympic flame was lit on August 24 in Stoke Mandeville, Great Britain, the historic birthplace of the Paralympic Games. The flame then arrived in France via the Channel Tunnel, before being multiplied into twelve flames.

Before becoming one again, these flames will criss-cross the capital this Wednesday, a few hours before the opening ceremony of the Paralympics. On August 28, the flames will take in a number of symbolic Parisian landmarks. FromUnesco to Parc Monceau, via Club France, Carreau du Temple, Arènes de Lutèce, Père-Lachaise cemetery andHôtel de Ville... the flames will be stopping off in every arrondissement of Paris!

This Wednesday, those planning to watch the Paralympic flame in Paris will also be able to catch a glimpse of actor Jackie Chan, comedian and TV presenter Jarry, spaceman Jean-François Clervoy, actress Elsa Zylberstein and rapper Georgio, as well as the president of the French Handisport Federation, Guislaine Westelynck, and French athlete Elodie Clouvel.
