This is one car you won't want to lose, even in a crowded parking lot. It has to be said that its unusual decoration is unique... But very fashionable in this sporty season. A cab adorned with hundreds of Phrygian plush toys caused quite a stir at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
The car, decorated in honor of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games mascot, is driven by Théo Curin, former Paralympic athlete and presenter of a TV show on France 3. In a humorous sequence shown at the start of the opening ceremony, the young athlete proudly displayed his"Phryge cab". Is this cab available for your next trip to the capital? Can you ride in it?
Unfortunately, this is unlikely. While the cab may soon be on display to the public, it is not expected to take on any new passengers.
In fact, the cab was used as the backdrop for "Théo le cab", a segment broadcast on the TV show Aux Jeux Citoyens. In this vignette, the quadri-amputee host took Paralympic athletes on a tour of Paris, asking them about their motivations, hopes and ambitions for the Games.
You've already seen the Phryges cab on the streets of Paris, and it could be on the road again in the next few days. However, the cab won't be taking customers at the drop of a hat!
