Need to relax? We've put the Burgundy's SPA and gastronomy offer to the test for you, the winning duo for recharging your batteries and enjoying a starlit interlude. In fact, there are 3 offers to choose from, the concept of which is to give you a wonderful experience combining relaxation and fine food.
At mid-day, the Spa offers two formulas. The "Splunch", available every day, includes two hours of spa time followed by a light lunch at the bar. The "parenthèse étoilée" combines relaxation and gastronomy from Tuesday to Friday, offering an hour's spa, a signature massage and a starlit vegetarian lunch at Le Baudelaire.
In the early evening, on Thursdays only, a relaxing afterwork is offered with two hours of spa by night until 10:00 p.m. and a tapas aperitif at the Bar before or after the Spa, an opportunity to enjoy innovative alcohol-free cocktails with a tapas of your choice.
For our part, we tested the Parenthèse étoilée version (yes, we have a sense of sacrifice here at the editorial office). The gentle welcome immediately plunges us into a state of tranquility. We make our way to the Spa changing room to put on our bathrobes and slippers, before rushing into the 250 m2 relaxation area. The 15-metre-long pool invites us to take a few liberating dips before settling down on the deckchairs for a cup of tea available in the corridor. We then indulge in the soothing warmth of the sauna and hammam, which take away tension and restore our sense of well-being.
Then it's time for a duo massage. We choose the essences for our massage oil. For me, it's the sweet, refreshing scent of orange blossom and cedar. Then it's off to an hour of pure relaxation, which helps to dispel the knots in our muscles, aching from hours of writing for your audience.
Once transformed into a marshmallow, it's time for lunch. After a good shower to wake us up, we head off to Baudelaire, the hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant, with Anthony Denon in the kitchen and Léandre Vivier in pastry and desserts.
The Déjeuner Vivant stands out for its celery spaghetti, accompanied by a parmesan soufflé and an exquisite vegetable jus. This dish is followed by a comforting Hachi parmentier, where potatoes and simmered vegetables play the starring role. Finally, the Apple Caramelized in Cider Tatin Style, accompanied by a vegetable apple and green shiso sorbet, offers an unforgettably sweet note.
Meanwhile, the Déjeuner Hivernal invites discovery with its warm Pâté de champignons bruns, enhanced with a parsley condiment and a jus perlé. Poularde au vert, served with a spinach and comté emulsion and hay cream, promises an explosion of flavors. The experience concludes on a personalized note with a Dessert à la carte, giving free rein to your sweet tooth.
We loved the finesse and beauty of the dishes, which offer an explosion of flavors in the mouth, whether on the vegetarian or meat menu. In short, a wonderful discovery that we recommend.
Anthony Denon, a Michelin-starred chef with an impeccable track record, worked in the kitchens of some big names before taking over at Le Baudelaire. He brings his own vision of gastronomy to the table, supported by the talent of Léandre Vivier, pastry chef. Their menu, which focuses on plant-based and animal protein-free cuisine, is an ode to creativity and finesse.
This spa and gastronomy offer at Burgundy Paris is more than a seasonal offering; it's a genuine invitation to recharge your batteries and indulge in exceptional dishes. An experience we recommend as a duo, to combine self-care and the pleasure of the senses. So, why not treat yourself to an enchanted interlude?
