For people passing by and those looking for a beautiful address, this is the spot you don’t want to miss. Head to Hotel Banke in Paris 9th arrondissement to discover Le Bar, former Lola Bar offering you to discover super creative cocktails in a unique setting.
And yes, you may not know it but Hôtel Banke is aptly named since it’s set in a former bank from 1908. By the way, you can still see the former counters, the beautiful mosaic that goes from the floor of the lobby to the splendid glass window. You can even discover the emergency stairwell designed by Gustave Eiffel who’s been a client of this very bank. You get it, Hôtel Banke is a piece of Parisian history taking you to a universe you can’t find anywhere else in Paris.
So, as soon as you get in, you’re taken to a warm atmosphere with a spectacular setting mixing the charm of the Belle Epoque with design and modern touches. An atmosphere that is yet tinted with mysteries and that seduced us! And it’s only the beginning.
The bar set behind one of the former counters of the bank welcomes you with a décor made of golf and ebony, comfortable sofas on which we gladly relax! A warm team willing to make you discover the delights of the house is happy to help you out. Because, we must say that the cocktail list is very intriguing. By the way, some will be happy to discover that most of the cocktails can be alcohol-free.
These new creations are directly inspired by famous ballets, a tribute to the Opéra Garnier set not far from here and a lovely nod to the architecture of the lobby reminding us of a magnificent theater background. As for us, we first fall for the Aida. Said to be adventurous, this creation takes us to sweet horizons: Cachaça (alcohol based on cane sugar juice), passion fruit purée, mango juice delight the taste buds in love with exotic flavors while lime and lime bring some sourness and freshness to awaken the taste buds.
We also go for the happy Bohème, a tasty cocktail with some character based on vodka, liqueur Saint-Germain, ginger syrup, apple juice, cinnamon, lemon shaken with egg white. Under a beautiful mousse, we discover spicy notes and it’s perfectly balanced. A cheeky treat that became one of our favorites.
And to go along these creations as tasty as beautiful, we can go for nice boards with Iberian cold cuts and Spanish cheeses or fall for the Mediterranean plate: squid cromesquis, Bacalhau pasteis and seasonal tapas, you’ll be travelling to new and delicious lands.
If you’re looking for an awe-inspiring spot in Paris likely to surprise and seduce even the most demanding taste buds, this is a Parisian treasure you want to discover urgently!
Alcohol abuse is bad for your health, please drink responsibly.
