How to combine gastronomy and wine in a single name... ? It's a question that Guillaume and Thibaut asked themselves when creating their restaurant, and they ended up with a single name: Lichette. A name that fits both worlds, since a lichette can be applied to both wine (a lichette de vin, or a little wine) and food (a lichette is also a small slice of bread). So that settles it: Lichette it is!
The restaurant, meanwhile, opened its doors on June 1, 2024 in the bustling 20th arrondissement. Set in a convivial setting, Lichette also combines art and gastronomy. In what way? Through an innovative menu, created with local produce, and through its artistic side, in particular the 3D mural on the façade and one of the walls in the dining room, which is very graphic. Art and gastronomy, we tell you...
At the head of this ambitious project is Thibaut, a wine enthusiast and former manager of the Paris Bogota. Trained as a sommelier, he embarked on this new adventure with Guillaume, his long-time friend. Together, they have also recruited Gaspard, a talented chef who brings his know-how and creativity to the restaurant's kitchen.
The constantly evolving menu is reinvented every week to adapt to seasonal produce and promote short supply chains. With three starters, main courses and desserts on offer, each visit is a new discovery. For lunch, a 25-euro formula allows you to sample the evening's offerings in smaller portions. Starters range from 10 to 14 euros, main courses from 19 to 24 euros, and desserts from 9 to 11 euros.
And the house's special feature? Gourmets and gourmands can select their bottle of wine in a dedicated cellar, adding an "interactive" dimension to their gastronomic experience. The wine list, meanwhile, is a veritable ode to independents, biodynamics and nature, with no fewer than 150 references renewed every week. This meticulous sourcing guarantees new discoveries on every visit.
Meat lovers can also choose a piece for two (Pithiviers, lamb mouse... depending on availability). The house also offers vegetarian and vegan options, carefully prepared by Chef Gaspard.
Lichette is the story of a friendship, a shared passion for wine and good food, and a desire to offer a culinary experience. Something to tantalize your taste buds.
