The Folie-Méricourt district continues to grow in popularity among Parisian gourmets. And with good reason, new (and good) restaurants are legion, from bistronomy(Le Rigodon) to gastronomy(Amâlia), international cuisine(Trâm 130) and street-food(Oté).
At the end of July, this district of the 11th arrondissement will welcome Seeklo, an Indian restaurant showcasing the art of wood-fired grilling and flame cooking, a technique used in every region of India and testimony to a rich ancestral heritage.
However, Seeklo will offer a contemporary vision of these authentic Indian recipes, reinterpreted with modernity, finesse and singularity in a refined venue, also far from clichés, designed by the Mur.Mur studio. Scents and flavors from the four corners of India will be wafting over the glowing embers.
Coming soon: smoked beetroot, a lightly sweetened fire-baked beet purée topped with caramelized hazelnuts and a shallot, chive and truffle oil vinaigrette; Kerala fried chicken electrified with a touch of chili, curry leaves and a sweet tomato chutney; oyster mushroom, a Portobello mushroom grilled, spiced and served with a vegan korma sauce with macadamia nuts and fenugreek; or garlic curry leaf prawns, grilled shrimp seasoned with garlic, curry leaves, ginger and a coconut emulsion.
Explosive flavors, to accompany a cocktail or a glass of natural wine. See you at the end of July!
