Café Foufou, the fresh and gourmet coffee shop

You're hanging around the Place de la République? Take a break at Café Foufou, the new Coffee Shop on the rue Oberkampf.

On the spot, you'll discover a bright café with a large bay window, a large bar in pink marble with an open kitchen, stone walls, high ceilings and plants, in short, everything you need to feel at ease.

The place, open every day from 8am to 6pm (except Sundays from 9am), awaits you from breakfast to the after party. Breakfast, lunch on the go, snacks or even drinks after work, it's open non-stop.

We come there to have a good coffee. Which coffee? The Kivu coffee, a pure Arabica, harvested on the banks of the eponymous Congolese lake. A limited edition with chocolate notes. Note that Café Foufou is the only Parisian retailer. Here, no known brands, just an organic coffee, good and carrying real ethical projects!

On the menu, we are offered simple, fresh and tasty home-made dishes. Chef Christophe Rousseau, who has worked at the Ritz, the Arpège and the George V - and is currently resident at Café La Perle - oversees the kitchen and offers a combination of recipes that are just right.

So here you go: fluffy cakes, fluffy pancakes, soft French toast, bowls and salads of the day, as well as detox juices, all made at the minute.

We like the hot porridge with fresh fruits, the soup of the day with just the right amount of spice or the avocado sandwich with smoked salmon.

How about a little break?
