Unlike the opening ceremony on the Seine, this one promises to be more traditional, but you can expect anything from Thomas Jolly! Although transport is likely to be less affected than on July 26, some stations may be closed and some subways will run all night. With a parade of flags and athletes, a medal ceremony, speeches, the extinguishing of the Olympic flame and a huge show, the evening promises to be rich in emotion, an opportunity to celebrate those who have made these Paris Games unforgettable!
A total of 12 minutes of show will be put on by the Americans to carry out the handover between Paris 2024 and Los Angeles 2028, with respective mayors Anne Hidalgo and Karen Bass exchanging the Olympic flag.
