Looking for a comforting address for a cheap brunch in Paris? Head for Patrol, opposite the Luxembourg Gardens. Set on two floors with a terrace, this beautiful brasserie offers a lovely summer menu and brunch all week long.

Patrol is the bohemian brasserie for any time of day. With its beautiful decor, open kitchen, gourmet plates and detonating recipes, it's the perfect place to relax and sip an excellent homemade smoothie with family, friends or a duo. Croissants, pancakes, avocados, tartars and brasserie dishes await you.

In summer, you can choose between the terrace facing the Jardin du Luxembourg, the downstairs dining room or the upstairs dining room with its lush fauna.

On the menu, a brunch formula at 23 euros, with a croissant, yoghurt and granola, avocado brioche with poached egg, hot drink, fruit juice and... a small spritz with or without alcohol or a smoothie. Served from noon onwards, the formula is tempting, and allows small appetites to get their fill for the day.

But we're also impressed by the menu. The menu features 3 new dishes: Argentine Angus rib steak with chimichurri sauce and pommes frites, filet of sea bream with satay sauce and roasted vegetables, and veggie risotto with beet and gorgonzola. We opt for the well-cooked sea bream with crispy skin. We like the well-balanced satay sauce and the still-crisp root vegetables.

We're also tempted by one of the salted croissants. Our version is asparagus and poached runny egg with orange hollandaise sauce. Curious, we also decide to try out the subscription Brioche Elvis with peanut butter, banana and grilled bacon. Amazing! Fancy something fresher? Opt for the salmon ceviche, which is in fact a salmon-avocado tartar, accompanied by jasmine rice.

Of course, you can accompany it with a smoothie of the day or a gourmet cocktail. We opt for the"Dia de Los Muertos", made with tequila, mezcal, raspberry, passion fruit, lime and ginger beer, all served in a skull-shaped glass.

For dessert, an attractive tray presents a range of sweet treats. From seasonal tarts and chocolate moelleux to garrot cake and even pancakes, the choice is yours. For our part, we're sharing a gourmet cheesecake with red fruit coulis.

All in all, there's plenty to keep you going before a stroll in the Luxembourg Gardens or an exhibition at the Musée du Luxembourg.
