Perhaps you were lucky enough to discover them via Petite Amour, the bar at theGrand Amour Hotel. Takaramono, the excellent culinary concept dreamed up by Tresor Food, has taken the plunge, opening Takaramono by Tresor Food on March 9.
What isTresor Food? A nomadic culinary experience based on seasonal produce launched in February 2017 by two childhood friends. On one side, there's the passionate and exciting Chef Alexandre Arnal, who has notably passed through Le Verre Volé (Paris), In de Wulf at Kobe Desramaults (Belgium), Bacchanal at Christophe Dufau (Vence) or La Chassagnette with his brother Armand Arnal (Arles). On the other, we find DJ and manager of the Monstart label, Jonathan Ouanounou.
After several weekends in the Petite Amour bar, Takaramono is expanding and now offers its cuisine, a perfect blend of Japanese and Mediterranean influences, from Tuesday to Saturday and all day long.
The experience, which we have chosen to test, starts at 11am and offers fresh, seasonal cuisine at affordable prices. A la carte? Classic or vegetarian" Bun ". We've fallen for Alexandre's pastrami Maison, featuring a succulent loaf of bread from baker Thierry Breton, delicious slices of pastrami, veal bacon and a salad of the moment.
The other highlight of this lunch? The dish of the day, created to coincide with the market's arrival. That lunchtime, Alexandre had concocted a magnificent and generous plate of broccoli purée, broccoli, celery, burrata... A real treat, both fresh and healthy!
As for desserts, the restaurant has teamed up with Baked-Box, who have come up with some simple but delicious treats for the lunchtime menu, including this delicious cookie and a pear and almond cake.
And to accompany these dishes, Takaramono by Tresor Food offers cold-pressed juices and a selection of healthy, original softs. The best part? The possibility of enjoying these dishes on site or to take away.
The day continues with a tea time break from 2 to 5:30 p.m., always accompanied by delicious cakes delicately prepared by Baked-Box. As for beverages, make way for café Caron (crowned France's best coffee roaster in 2017) or Le Bénéfique tea.
Finally, from 6pm, it's time for anaperitif, with natural wines, craft beers, sakés and cocktails on the menu, including the"Taka" (Saké Matsumoto, Aquavit, snow peas, lemon, cane sugar, apple juice and tonic) and the"Paloma" (Mezcal, Tonic Pamplemousse). For gourmets, there are Nippo-Camargue tapas, including salmon and miso carrot rillettes, or beet hummus. There are also plates to share, featuring gyozas with spinach ricotta and miso soy vinaigrette, or razor clams with parsley, or pan-fried shitake, soy egg and Jerusalem artichoke in two varieties.
And like Takaramono by Tresor Food is more than friendly, they're offering a complimentary Nippo-méditerranée tapas with every aperitif!
Takaramono by Tresor Food is undoubtedly one of those new, trendy, gourmet addresses that you've come to count on. Offering delicious, healthy, fresh, seasonal cuisine, all in a convivial, sharing spirit, this address is likely to surprise us for a long time to come!
