In September 2024, Nolinski Le Restaurant unveils a completely redesigned menu by Philip Chronopoulos, a two-starred chef well known to Parisian gourmets for his work at the Palais Royal Restaurant. The new menu plunges us into the comforting world of French bourgeois cuisine, an authentic and comforting cuisine that honors the Parisian art of living.
The chef, who has been influenced by this culinary repertoire throughout his career, now wishes to offer classic yet refined dishes, "Proust's madeleines" that evoke memories while providing a certain comfort. These dishes include gastronomic icons such as pot-au-feu, roast poultry and a delicious macaroni and morel gratin, all prepared with the delicacy and personal touch for which the chef is renowned.
Far from the extreme sophistication of haute gastronomy, this new menu seeks to return to its roots, sublimating traditional recipes with elegant simplicity and distinctive taste.
In terms of setting, Nolinski Le Restaurant remains true to its characteristic hushed, elegant atmosphere. Whether it's for a business lunch, a romantic dinner or a special celebration, this venue is the epitome of Parisian elegance. The decor is by English designer John Whelan. Seventies gilding, leather banquettes, a large central bar and wood panelling form the ambience of the address.
We recommend the weekly menu, a true tribute to traditional French cuisine. Each day of the week, you can discover an emblematic dish such as Monday's traditional pot-au-feu or Tuesday's boeuf bourguignon, always offered at an attractive price of €38 (or €52 with dessert). These proposals reinforce the idea of comfort food, where every meal becomes a celebration of classic French gastronomy.
During our visit, we were able to discover escargots as a starter, as well as a delicious pâté en croûte. For the main course, the weekly menu featured a very good Blanquette de Veau, but you're free to try the Tartare de bœuf or the delicious Volaille jaune rôtie au jus with its fine purée.
To end the meal on a high note, let yourself be seduced by desserts! These sweet treats are a nod to childhood memories, with classics like tarte tatin, baba au rhum and vanilla millefeuille, timeless desserts that are a fitting end to a good meal.
Nolinski Le Restaurant caters to a refined clientele in search of an authentic Parisian culinary experience, where gastronomic savoir-faire blends with an elegant atmosphere. Whether you're a lover of bourgeois cuisine, a gourmet in search of revisited classics or an epicurean eager to relive childhood taste memories, this establishment is the ideal place to savor traditional dishes magnified by a Michelin-starred chef. With a fork a little high, it's not necessarily cheap, but note that the plates are generous and the desserts, very gourmet!
In short, if you're looking for a good Opéra restaurant, this is the place to (re)discover!
