Let's head to the 16th arrondissement to discover Octave, Juliette JU 's new restaurant that offers us a fusion cuisine between Seoul and Paris. Imagine a chef who has worked in the kitchens of the Bristol, Joël Robuchon and the Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme, and who has also become a French cooking teacher at Le Cordon Bleu. All of this mixed with her origins and the influence of her restaurant owners parents, and you have Octave!
With this know-how, the chef signs us dishes as elegant as they are divine. The technique here is combined with the flavors of Korea for our greatest gustatory pleasure . Perfect cooking, a beautiful work of the plants and beautiful discoveries, we enjoy ourselves.
As for the decoration, we stay on the chic and theelegance. A refined atmosphere and a visible kitchen under a glass roof await you. We can thus see the brigade (that she recovered from the Cordon Bleu) officiating under our eyes.
Thus, when we passed by, we were able to discover the Tasting Menu in 8 steps. But feel free to come and enjoy a more affordable and equally delicious menu at lunchtime. After having started with the amuse-bouches, a corn dog with corn flour and a chip which makes travel the papillae, we attack the Beef Tartar with the Korean way. We discover a melting tartar decorated with crunchy radish, which marries perfectly with Korean spices.
We are then delighted by the Flesh of Edible Crab accompanied by a glazed velvet with white beans. We love the Kimchi Penne which combines the sweetness of the cream and the spiciness of the kimchi to spice up the whole, we love it.
The grilled and smoked beef with seasonal vegetables, really melting, will delight meat lovers. Korean obliges, the menu proposes to you to taste a typical tray of Korean dishes, the Soban. It is hard to miss the famous kimchi and tofu soup.
We finish the tasting with the dessert, a stick of melon ice cream with green tea sponge cake and yuzu cream.
In short, a sublime gustatory discovery to be experienced absolutely!
