Tata Yoyo, the latest restaurant in the Les Pas Parisiens group, opens its doors in La Garenne-Colombes, offering a culinary experience imbued with nostalgia and conviviality. As soon as you enter, you're enveloped by the ambiance of yesteryear, with its weathered wooden tables, comfortable chairs and subdued lighting, creating the ideal setting for family gatherings or dinners with friends.
The restaurant is wide enough to comfortably accommodate several large tables for groups of friends or family gatherings! There are also a number of round and square tables ready to accommodate double dates of 4 people or smaller gatherings! And last but not least, tables for two, sometimes secluded on the edge of bright bay windows, await couples for intimate meals.
At the time of our visit, although the occupancy rate was rather high, the noise level remained relatively low! We could hear each other without having to raise our voices, and the background music of the yéyé years, with songs by Sheila or Sylvie Vartan, was rather pleasant and prolonged the impression of nostalgia that emanates from the place.
For aperitifs, Tata Yoyo offers a variety of platters: cold meats (chorizo, sausage, country ham), cheeses selected by our cheesemonger, or a combination of the two for those who are undecided, as well as a fine cocktail menu!
Starters showcase the diversity and richness of French cuisine, with dishes like Smoked Herring and Onion Soup. We opted for the Œuf cuit mollet dans une sauce au vin rouge, perfectly executed, and the Pâté en croûte de volaille, which we were recommended to taste "from top to bottom" to better perceive the flavors and texture in the mouth.
Main courses reflect the same attention to quality and taste, with options such as Angus Bavette à l'échalote, Saucisse purée, Cabillaud au beurre noisette, Ravioles de champignons à la truffe d'été, and Volaille Suprême, offering an assortment to satisfy every preference.
For a shared experience, Travers de Bœuf and Fondue are gourmet choices for two.
Gourmets look forward to them, and it has to be said that they are mouth-watering! The desserts promise a sweet end to the meal, with reinvented classics such as Pain Perdu with soft, melting semi-salted butter, L'Exotique with lychee, mango and passion fruit, Mi-cuit praliné, and Chou agrumes with candied yuzu, clementine and fresh citrus to finish the meal on a fresh note!
With a Starter + Main Course + Desert formula at €39.99 (reduced to €29.99 for the opening) and a Food & Wine pairing at €13.99 with 2 additional glasses of wine, Tata Yoyo offers a relatively affordable, timeless culinary experience. In addition, Tata Yoyo has not forgotten the young ones with a Menu Minot at €16.99, offering a choice of poultry or fish accompanied by French fries or vegetables, followed by an ice cream.
Tata Yoyo promises an immersion in French culinary tradition, where every bite tells a story. Whether for a relaxing aperitif, a family dinner or a meal with friends, Tata Yoyo in La Garenne-Colombes is the new must-visit address for lovers of good food and conviviality.
