Would you like to discover the secrets of theNational Assembly and of power? From October 29, 2022, the Palais Bourbon will be opening its doors to the public free of charge, with guided tours open to all. This is an exceptional opportunity, initiated by the institution's president, Yaël Braun-Pivet. If you're passionate about politics, or simply want to walk in the footsteps of French democracy, where many laws are passed, individual tours guided by tour guides are now available. Immerse yourself in the Hemicycle, an immense space occupied by members of parliament, as well as the surrounding lounges, the party gallery and the library.
Theseone-hour tours are available on Friday afternoons, Saturday mornings and, from the Christmas vacations onwards, during parliamentary recesses on working days. Built in 1728, the two buildings that make up the National Assembly house the Chamber of Deputies and the residence of the President of the Assembly. Long-awaited, this opening to the general public is likely to attract many interested parties, so don't hesitate to sign up early for a behind-the-scenes look at this political mecca.
