Let's face it, ceviche has definitely made its mark in Paris. The advent of South American restaurants has allowed Parisian gourmets to discover this Peruvian specialty made with marinated fish. Revisited with all the sauces, with more and more surprising recipes, this dish conquered the papillae and made a place of choice in the panorama of the restaurants of the capital.
And among the favorite places to taste this Latin American specialty is the Cevicheria. A true embassy of Ceviche in Paris, it now has three addresses in the capital, in the 2nd, 10th and 17th arrondissements. All designed to welcome gourmets in a young and green setting, these spots are the promise of a tasting rich in flavors.
Our favorite address is the one on rue Bachaumont, a small alley with typical Parisian charm, in the heart of the Sentier district. Here, you can enjoy the sun of the capital from its quiet terrace or go inside the bright interior. On the menu, the recipes are more gourmet than the others. For our part, we literally melted with pleasure on the ceviche of sea bream with Peruvian style, tiger leche, red onions, cancha, cubes of sweet potato and coriander.
If you are a fan of octopus, don't miss the Tiraditos with fried onions, red onions, aji Amarillo, candied lemon and a kalamata olive cream. For meat lovers, the Beef Tataki with Ginger Oil, Nikkei Sauce and Crispy Onions might just get you hooked. Add to that a delicious sweet potato puree served hot with melted cheddar cheese on top and you are literally in heaven!
