Cali Mia, the sunny Latin-American restaurant for dining with your feet in the sand

Whatever the season, the Cali Mia restaurant is the ideal place to feel like you're on vacation by the beach! Straw straw huts, sand underfoot, a warm and colorful atmosphere, sunny mocktails and spicy food are all on the menu, for an evening (or lunch) that smells of the sun! Just off the Goncourt metro station in the 10th arrondissement, come and sample Latin-American specialties, with quesadillas, nachos, gambas, fajita fries and coconut milk on the menu!

We warn you, even after you've eaten, you're so cozy in the hanging armchairs that you can hardly leave the table and go home! Once you've chosen your seat, static or moving, you'll discover the menu of mocktails and softs, because everything here is alcohol-free, so you can enjoy the different flavors 100%. We recommend the piña colada, very smooth and airy with its coconut milk, useful if you want to try your hand at the chillies served afterwards! And don't forget the mojito, always a safe bet.

For smaller budgets or average stomachs, you can opt for the Tex-Mex menu, which offers beef, chicken or veggie quesadillas, crunchy guacamole nachos, cheesy bombs or fried shrimps, from 6.9 to 8.9 euros. For our part, we've tried a bit of everything, and particularly recommend the cheddar chicken meatballs, which combine crispiness and creaminess to perfection. The whole thing is nicely dressed and accompanied by several small vegetables, for those who want to stay healthy at all costs.

As for the dishes, the price is a little higher, but they're well-stocked and tasty. There's a choice of prawns, salmon, marinated beef or chicken, as well as salads with a Latin accent. You'll travel from Mexico to Jamaica, via the West Indies! For the more sensitive, the cuisine is slightly spicy, a real treat for the taste buds. The more adventurous can try the green chili pepper, at their own risk! We opted for the generous fajita fries, with fries, cheddar cheese and peppers, just like a spicy poutine!

For the sweet team, desserts include cheesecake, cookies, French toast and mango panna cotta to round off the meal. Note that Cali Mia also offers a brunch with two formulas on Sundays, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.! As the place is rather small, if you want to be sure of getting a place, don't hesitate to book in advance!
