After an opening ceremony from the Place de la Concorde, it's time for sport! Discover the program of these Paralympic Games in Paris this Thursday, August 29, 2024, 1st day of competition of the JOP.

After the Olympic Games, the party continues with the Paralympic Games. The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games are shaking things up. Once again, we discover an opening ceremony in the heart of the city, this time on the Place de la Concorde, Olympic venues in the heart of historic spots welcome Paralympic athletes who come in turn to pick up medals set with a piece of the Eiffel Tower. The Olympic cauldron isrelit, and the games are underway: it's time to witness the performances of the sportsmen and women who have come to defend their colors and make history at the Olympic Games, while writing their own.

So what sports will you be watching this Thursday, August 29, 2024, the day after the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games? Several competitions kick off today, in Paris and the Ile-de-France region. In total there are a dozen sports to follow, within the Olympic venues that have now become iconic.
