The Caméra d'Or, one of the Cannes Festival's prestigious prizes, is awarded each year to a first feature film presented in the official selection or in the parallel sections. The list of films in competition for the Caméra d'Or 2024 has just been unveiled.
This award, which highlights youth, the emotion of beginnings and freshness as a force of conviction, underlines the talent of young emerging filmmakers on the world scene. Last year, the jury chaired by Anaïs Demoustier awarded the prize to Thien An Pham's debut feature, L'arbre aux papillons d'or.
Previous winners include such renowned filmmakers as Jim Jarmusch, Jafar Panahi, Ildikó Enyedi, Steve McQueen and Anthony Chen. So, who will win the coveted award at the end of the Cannes Film Festival 2024? Discover the films in the running. Answer on May 25!
