There are 53 of them. 53 bands to grace one of Hellfest 's 6 stages this Saturday, June 29, 2024, the third day of the metal festival's new weekend. So, which artists are not to be missed on Saturday? Metallica, Bruce Dickinson, Saxon... let's take a look at the 5 bands to see this June 29, 2024 in Clisson for the return of Hellfest.
They'll be back at Hellfest this summer, ready to blow your mind and ears away. Norwegians Kvelertak are determined to turn the Valley stage upside down with their set, which promises to be explosive with powerful sounds of death, rock and punk. A good dose of madness awaits you on Saturday late afternoon, thanks to this supercharged band driven by the crazy, communicative energy of its lead singer since 2019, Ivar Nikolaisen!
He needs no introduction! Bruce Dickinson, iconic Iron Maiden singer, airline pilot and fencer, returns to Hellfest this summer to defend his latest solo opus,"The Mandrake Project". The album, already presented at theOlympia in Paris last May, was a clear hit. It has to be said that Bruce Dickinson is one of those performers you just can't get enough of. Quite the contrary, in fact! Join him on Mainstage 2, just before Metallica, for his first set as a solo artist at Hellfest.
Two years after their memorable concert at Hellfest, Metallica returns to the plains of Clissonnais to once again light up the metal festival with " Enter Sandman ", " Master of Puppets " and " For Whom The Bell Tolls ". With the band currently in the midst of the second leg of their"M72 World Tour", the Four Horsemen are looking forward to delivering a set as powerful and successful as the one they performed in 2022. For a good dose of Californian-style thrash metal, head for Mainstage 1 on Saturday evening.
Pioneers of the genre, Suicidal Tendencies return to Hellfest on June 29 with an eagerly-awaited set on the Warzone. On the program? Punk, hardcore and metal, retracing the 40-year career of this Venice Beach gang with countless hits. Still led by Mike Muir, the band was recently joined by Jay Weinberg (former member of Slipknot) on drums, and by Tye Trujillo (son of a certain Rob Trujillo) on bass in 2021.
A worthy representative of NWOBHM (New Wave of British heavy metal) alongside Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, Saxon continue to fascinate and inspire, almost 50 years after their debut. The years go by, but the songs remain and the tours continue. After an explosive show at Le Zénith in Paris with Judas Priest, Saxon are coming to Hellfest on Saturday June 29 for what promises to be a thunderous set, led by the charismatic and indefatigable Biff Byford!
Of course, this list is by no means exhaustive, and there are plenty of other bands not to be missed at Hellfest on June 29. What are you planning to see and hear on Saturday in Clisson?
