It's THE festival that all metalheads look forward to every summer. This year, Hellfest returns a week later than usual. Join us in Clisson on Thursday June 27, Friday June 28, Saturday June 29 and Sunday June 30, 2024 for four new days and evenings of hard rock, thrash metal, black metal, heavy metal, doom, classic rock, punk and alternative rock.
Once again this year, Hellfest promises festival-goers a healthy dose of extreme music, with a host of big names in the genre, including Metallica, Tom Morello, Bruce Dickinson, Avenged Sevenfold, Megadeth, Machine Head, Mass Hysteria and Kerry King! These world-renowned bands can be discovered this summer on Mainstages 1 & 2. Hellfest also features four other stages, including the Warzone , dedicated to punk and hardcore! This is located not far from the huge sculpture erected in tribute to Lemmy Kilmister.
If you're a fan of these different musical styles, then you're likely to spend a good part of Hellfest in front of the Warzone. That's why we've selected 5 bands and artists for you to see this summer in the Warzone at this new edition of Hellfest.
They hail from Portland in the USA and play hardcore/metal. They are the members of Dying Wish. Led by the charismatic Emma Boster with her overpowering voice, the band has been officiating since 2016 and has two opuses to its credit, the latest of which is entitled"Symptoms of Survival". With them on stage, metalheads are sure to have a field day, with pogos, slams and circle pits galore. A great way to warm up for the very first day of Hellfest 2024!
Pogos and circle pits are also likely to be plentiful this Friday evening in front of the Warzone. The American band Biohazard will be making a much-anticipated appearance. And the many fans of the Brooklyn-based band wouldn't miss it for the world, especially as musician Evan Seinfeld has been back with the band since 2022. Hardcore, metal and rap: we're telling you, Biohazard are going to rock the Warzone!
He's back at Hellfest! Ice-T, or rather Body Count feat Ice-T, are back in Clisson, bringing a healthy dose of hip-hop mixed with their secret metal sounds! Formed in 1990 around rapper Ice-T and guitarist Ernie-C, the band was joined by D-Roc, bassist Mooseman and drummer Beatmaster-V, all three of whom have sadly passed away. More than 30 years after its creation, Body Count is still at the forefront of the music scene, led by Ice-T, who is more determined than ever. A word of advice: don't miss this show on Saturday night!
Considered by many to be the pioneers of the genre, Suicidal Tendencies return to Hellfest this summer with a highly anticipated set. The program? Punk, hardcore and metal, looking back over the 40-year career of this Venice Beach band with countless hits. Still led by Mike Muir, the band was recently joined by Jay Weinberg (former member of Slipknot) on drums, and by Tye Trujillo (son of a certain Rob Trujillo) on bass in 2021.
Like its predecessors, Madball hails from the USA. And like three of the aforementioned bands, this is not Madball 's first appearance at Hellfest. Quite the contrary, in fact! 2024 marks Madball' s 6th appearance at the metal festival. Once again, Freddy Cricien and his cohorts have every intention of setting the Warzone alight and creating some wild circle pits! So, are you ready to join the party?
