Opened only a few months ago, Bombarde and its pink colored frontage are eye-catching. During a stroll in Montmartre, you are looking for a nice and friendly restaurant ? Why not stop at Bombarde, there is little risk of being disappointed. Opened by a duo of friends, this restaurant gives pride of place to Mediterranean cuisine. In the kitchen, chef Roland Theimer, formerly of Maison Maison, knows how to do it.
As a great lover of Mediterranean cuisine, he offers dishes that smell of the sun and local cuisine. At Bombarde, you can go there every day since the menu changes daily. This gives the chef the opportunity to experiment and offer you dishes made with fresh products from the market of the day. For example, during our visit, the Violets de mer were on the menu. This rare seafood with amazing flavors, skilfully prepared by the chef, was a true gustatory discovery.
As a bonus, which is not to our displeasure, the menu is accessible and a starter + main course + dessert costs 18€ at lunchtime. The main course is 14€ and the starter + main course or main course + dessert is 16€.
Bombarde welcomes us like at home. A restaurant with about thirty seats, this daytime canteen spot becomes a festive restaurant after dark. In the light of candles, we come to spend delicious moments with friends, in music and around good bottles of wine which the chef will speak to you with love.
Even if the menu changes every day, here is what we tasted during our visit. In addition to the Let's Eat ephemeral menu, that day, we enjoyed some good giant Anchovies from Saint-Jean de Luz, enhanced with a passion coulis. Well cooked, these anchovies accompanied by the good bread of Thierry Breton of the restaurant of the Pointe du Grouin, were a treat.
For the main course, we had the delicious Farm Pig Sausages with confit lentils and a Creole sauce. We like the pickles that spice it up and the potato salad with homemade mayonnaise that accompanies all the dishes, simple and effective.
For dessert, a Panna cotta with orange blossom and organic mango coulis completes the meal.
In short, if you are looking for a restaurant to eat well without breaking the bank in the Montmartre area, with good wine and good products, this is the address. Direction Bombarde !
