Created in 2020 after the confinement, Zincou is dedicated to offering its customers generous, well-crafted cuisine in the form of tapas to share, matched with a wide selection of wines. The restaurant's menu features more than a dozen vegetarian, meat and fish tapas, and almost 40 different wines.
Zincou is part of a group of four restaurants - Teillebou, Chonbou and Gegeor - located in the 9th arrondissement, each with its own ambience, but always with the same ambition: to offer fresh, local cuisine accompanied by a carefully chosen glass of wine.
Zincou's menu offers something for everyone! The restaurant recommends 2 to 3 plates per person. On the vegetarian side, the sweet potato fries with smoked paprika are worth the detour, accompanied by a homemade cocktail sauce. With temperatures starting to drop, the ravioles du Royans are delicious and comforting, with their white port cream and smoked paprika oil.
For seafood lovers, the pan-fried squid, octopus and supions is an absolute must. The creamy garlic confit with dry ink enhances the taste, while the wakame seaweed adds an Asian touch.
For a more classic choice, back of cod is ideal, with careful cooking and a light sauce. The fish can be accompanied by a white wine, recommended by one of our waiters.
On the meat side, Zincou offers a rump steak tataki topped with a béarnaise mint-bergamot sauce, served generously and accompanied by roasted pencil leeks and harlequin carrots. For those who prefer white meat, the sesame chicken supreme goes perfectly with the peanut emulsion and teriyaki juice. Often accompanied by a glass of red wine, meaty tapas are best enjoyed by many!
A touch of sweetness to finish the meal? Zincou has four desserts, and our choice was the gourmet profiterole with vanilla ice cream, chantilly and a light chocolate sauce. The flavors balance each other out to create a profiterole revisited, a very pleasant way to end a meal.
Zincou is a place where people come together to share tasty, well-crafted dishes. The restaurant, open for lunch from Tuesday to Thursday, also offers a lunch menu with tapas transformed into a main course at €30 for a starter/main course, €29 for a main course/dessert and €37 for a starter/main course/dessert.
The service is particularly pleasant, and the terracotta-colored dining room warms the heart on wintry Parisian evenings. For warmer evenings, the restaurant also has a few tables on the terrace!
